Ever Amethyst Agapanthus (Lily Of The Nile) – 1 Gallon Pot

Perfect for patio containers and small garden spaces, Ever Amethyst is a drought tolerant and tough semi-dwarf reblooming Agapanthus that produces abundant spikes of bight lavender-purple flowers that are perfect for cutting and enjoying in your favorite vase. The flowers rise 24 inches or more above fast growing foliage clumps 12-18 inches tall and 18 to 24 inches wide.

With a clumping rather than spreading growth habit 24 to 36 inches tall and wide, Ever Amethyst Agapanthus is ideal for use as an accent or in small grouping in small garden spaces and home foundation plantings, or solo or as a centerpiece in combination container gardens. Outstanding in larger groupings or massed in sunny landscape borders. A fine addition to Asian gardens, perennial gardens, rock gardens, blue theme gardens, and tropical-look gardens.

Suggested Spacing:  18 inches apart for mass plantings; 36 inches or more apart for space between plants

Note: For our customers who live and garden north of USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 8a, where this Agapanthus variety is not winter hardy, you’ll be happy to know it can be grown in containers that can be brought indoors during winter and placed back outside when temperatures warm up in spring.

Agapanthus is easy to grow in most any moist but well-drained soil of average fertility and full sun to part shade. The more sun the better for best flowering. When established, plants are quite drought tolerant requiring supplemental irrigation only during prolonged periods of severe drought. Constantly soggy or wet soils are problematic.
